ABP Visitor Safety Policy Overview

Making safety our mindset is a core value for ABP employees, contractors and visitors.

The purpose of this visitor policy is to extend this value to all visitors. During your visit of our operations and facilities, please do your part to work with those around you to ensure accountability to this core value.

  • Prior to entering an ABP operation, all visitors must have completed this ABP visitor safety induction.
  • Correct personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn. PPE requirements include a hard hat, hi-vis vest, safety footwear and safety glasses and ear protection when required.
  • Always stay with your ABP representative. In the event of an emergency, this is the person who will direct you to safety and communicate emergency procedures as required.
  • If you are required to drive on site, you will be escorted by an ABP vehicle or authorised representative. Your escort will stay in contact with operations via two-way radio during your visit. Please park your vehicle where directed to by the ABP representative.
  • You must report any incident, hazard or near miss to your ABP representative.
  • Follow all reasonable directions and signage. Take care not to place yourself or others in danger. Be aware of exclusion zones around operating machinery.
  • Please be aware of your surroundings and stay alert. Walking in plantations requires attention at all times to prevent slips and falls. Please pay attention to equipment and vehicle traffic and if you are unsure ask the ABP representative for direction.
  • ABP staff and contractors are trained in first aid. Please remain vigilant on time spent under the intense sun. Water and sunscreen will be available.
  • ABP is committed to continuous improvement. We value your feedback on all aspects of your visit, particularly our approach to health and safety.
