GROWING LEADERS’ PROGRAM WINS PLATINUM AWARD AT LEARNX

Australian Bluegum Plantations has been recognised on the national stage, taking out the Platinum Award for Best Leadership Development Program at the LearnX Awards for its flagship Growing Leaders program.

The international accolade celebrates ABP’s commitment to investing in its people and building leadership capability across its operations, with special recognition for the leadership of Sheri Tarr, ABP’s Human Resources General Manager, who has played a central role in the program’s design and evolution.

LearnX Awards recognise excellence and innovation in learning, development, talent management, workforce education and educational technology across the corporate, education, government and nonprofit sectors worldwide.

Developed and delivered in close partnership with Spring Point, the Growing Leaders program has been refined and delivered over several years to build leadership capability, strength internal capacity and support a unified team culture. The program has been delivered across ABP’s Green Triangle and West Australian operations and continues to evolve in response to market conditions and organisational needs.

ABP CEO Darren Shelden said the Platinum Award was a strong endorsement of ABP’s people-first culture.

“This outcome is testament to the strategic planning of Sheri Tarr, who has been instrumental in shaping the program and its successful delivery,” Mr Shelden said.

“What makes this program special is its ability to flex and align with different stages of organisational growth. Each stage has been purpose-built to respond to where our business and our people are at, ensuring the learning is relevant, practical and enduring.”

Mr Shelden said ABP’s investment in learning and development was delivering real outcomes across the organisation.

“Through the Growing Leaders program, our people continually build new skills, confidence and proficiency. This strengthens initiative, collaboration and decision-making, and ultimately delivers long-term value for our teams and for the business,” he said.

The Growing Leaders initiative is closely linked with ABP’s broader Career Pathways program, which focuses on developing internal talent and supporting future leaders.

“Our Career Pathways program creates real opportunities for people to grow their careers with ABP while staying local in our regional communities. It supports graduates, strengthens diversity, and brings innovative, forward-thinking ideas into our business as we invest in the next generation of ABP leaders,” Mr Shelden said.
