The Australian government, at all levels has expressed their support to keep the forestry sector and its supply chains operating. ABP staff, contractors, along with members of the forestry industry have embraced the necessary measures and changes to stop the spread of the COVID–19 virus.
ABP are adhering to the advice provided by the Department of Health and state governments, providing staff and contractors with the necessary information, resources and support to get through this challenging time.
Strict social distancing and hygiene measures have been put in place to mitigate risk and comply with state and federal laws. Cloud communications channels have been set up to maintain social connections and allow collaboration between staff and contractors, and Employee Assistance Programs are being promoted for those who need extra help during this time of physical and social isolation.
ABP is reviewing and updating its policies on Covid-19 regularly to adhere to recommendations from the health department and state and federal governments. The workforce at ABP, both staff and contractors are working hard to comply with the policies in place and ensure operations continue. This would not have been possible without their continuing effort and support.
